Simple Economy Platform
- Rule 1: Don’t charge for something that you haven’t provided.
Simple example: A store is selling 1 KG of say potatoes while in fact it is 900 grams. It seems a very basic rule that everyone knows that it is not right to do so.
R1 goes beyond the obvious. If company C produces product P, he should be able to support it in a very structured and detail process. We can’t keep manufacturing products and providing no technical details of how to resolve an issue. “Next year another product come to market and who cares about yesterday product” is not a good answer, neither a good system.
- Rule 2: Investing money and generating interests should be disabled from economy system. This takes the life out of poor people and the rich gets richer. I don’t mind someone to get rich but not with that cost. A lot of rich people re-invest in society and that is appreciable. However we can’t damage something with the goal of fixing part of it later.
- Rule 3: Imports/Exports are good. Global Economy; if it means going to another country and control their economy to benefit ourselves; no good. No matter how intelligent and nice my neighbour is, he doesn’t come to my house to rule me. I would be very interested to help my neighbour and they always return a favour by a delicious cake. But that is the final boundary of it.
- Rule 4: “It is Business” comment doesn’t justify what we do. “We are humans” is a better one to use.
- Rule 5: Earth is not our slave. We should respect it. That doesn’t mean we pay someone big moneys to come up with rules like “stop people from spilling coffee on the ground as a way to support environment”. That is to satisfy investors to invest in oil and gas so they gain more on their investments, that is not protecting our environment. There are more important topics to cover.
- Rule 6: How about business of liquor, drugs in any form, and promoting gender topics that should be only between wife and husband. These should be dealt with a humanistic pair of eye-glasses. “Making money and good economy growth” terms does not justify those businesses.
- Let’s buy a piece of land or property so we can sell it next year with good profit. How this can be accepted!? A house was 40K about 30 years ago, now it is almost 10 times more. Average wages hasn’t increased 10 times. When someone says proudly that he purchased a house and sold it twice next year, isn’t he/she thinking of what a big shock he is introducing into next generation. Now they need to work 20 hours a day to buy a house. Or they need to buy a 400 square feet house to live in. It seems that domestic animals are packing into a smaller area so the investor can make more money out of it. Humans are also pushed into smaller houses, so all they can think is to wake up go to work and return to their 400 square feet house to sleep.
- Customer or manager sending an email at 8pm to an employee. It is ok, it is business. No it is not right; that employee has a personal life. It is great to help someone who reached me by email. I suggest to answer the client request, IF it is not disturbing your life. In general, I am practicing not to email anyone after 5pm. No matter what the situation is, I should be able to wait till tomorrow at which point I can call or email someone.
Covid-19 is under control and we need to work hard to catch up, actually not. We need to work less and reflect to ourselves so we stay humans.
Above are simple topics. Our economy and how we drive it needs some basic adjustments. Myself need to be a better person. I need to purify myself. Our existing economy, and commerce system also needs purifications.
