Bayazid Bustami was a Persian mystic who was among the earliest Sufi masters, about year 874.
He was the first to speak of the Sufi concept of annihilation in God.(fana fill ah)
An idea similar to the eastern concept of nirvana. He is quoted as saying.”I stood with the pious and I found no progress with them. I stood with the Warriors in the cause of God and found not a single step of progress with them. Then I said, “oh God, what is the way to you?” and God said. “Abandon yourself and come to me alone”
I think this means to abandon all earthly material and make your spirit free and get close to God.

Annihilation means. The act of reducing to nothing, or nonexistence; or the act of destroying the form or combination of parts under which a thing exists, so that the name can no longer be applied to it; as, the annihilation of a corporation.
I think fana is Arabic word means annihilation.
Nirvana means. Any place of complete bliss and delight and peace.
