Virus Spread of 2020 has placed people in their homes, isolated from others.
Covid-19 has killed 5912 people in Canada as of May 19, 2020. This number is reported at 323000 worldwide according to Google statistics.
This situation is unfortunate and sad. The fact that we can’t do anything about it, indirectly tells us how unprepared our existing system is.
People that I have talked with, they all feel some kind of uncertainty. They are shocked and don’t know what to say! Richest persons and powerful figures are in their homes. Most of business managers and coorporate CEOs are not planning on “how to make money”.
UN called for ceasefire, and Pope Francis backed this call.
The point is that for the first time people on the Earth all have one priority; survival. It is not just a personal survivor that one feels when in danger. It is a call for humanity survival.
With all the power we think we have, we are very surprised and unprepared.
It is a WAKE UP CALL & makes us think. It seems that we are missing something. Why humanity is in danger? I doubt that universe decided to wipe us out! The threat is not from an intelligent out of space being. What is it then?
COULD IT BE US?
If a bee is missing from nature, there would be a negative impact. If humans totally leave the Earth, nothing happens to nature. The point is that we as humans need a system to work with nature, not the other way around.
We seriously need to review our existing social and personal structure/life style. We can think of a New System or modifying/improving our existing one.
CTV News gathered people’s opinion on current issue. Here are topics individuals show interest:
- We need to slow down.

Human Economy System Review
Generating work, income, expense, environment, humanity, travel, intelligent, …
If we had only one chance to improve or enhance one of the above, which one would we choose? None of them have any values without humanity.
Some common topics that we need to re-think.
Lowering Employment Rate
To support humanity, we don’t need to generate work. On the contrary, we need to eliminate unnecessary works.
Increase Income to Live Better
Do we need more dollars or we need more humanity?
Travel and See the World
The most beautiful island to visit is our heart.
Higher Demand Means Price Increase
Shouldn’t this be the other way around! The more people want something, the easier it should be for people to acquire that.
Higher Price Entices Manufacturers to Produce More
My friend is bringing me a glass of water because I can’t walk to sink. If I become more thirsty; because I am sick for example; and ask for couple glasses of water, my friend should start charging me and expecting more favours from me!
The people who design economy system, put emphasize on monetary values. After all that is the job of an economist. The purpose of applying economical technique should be to improve life style. Like a physician’s job is to reduce pain and bring back the health.
One works 12 hours a day and say; I can’t complain; thanks God at least I have a job. One should not work 12 hours a day while another person has no job. Who defined 8 hours per day work anyway? Why both wife and husband need to work and take their infant to a day-care and pay all their income to the baby-sitter!
These days high level businessmen proudly announce that they work in a global level. Why a corporation in country X has to be in country Y in order to survive!? Why for our own survival we need to tap into another country resources. It should be the other way around: If a country doesn’t have too much resources to stand on his feet, it should tap into richer countries with a discounted price. Why? Because we are humans.
What is humanity and what do we mean by that. What values are considered humanistic. Who defines these values. Is our thinking power adequate enough to draw a picture representing a human? An intelligent computer might be knowledgeable of its parts and capabilities, but the engineer who designed it knows much more in depth details.
